We now offer a comprehensive evaluation to determine whether a child is dealing with ADHD or another behavioral/emotional issue such as anxiety or emotional dysregulation. We utilize the NIH Toolbox cognitive assessment to evaluate cognitive functioning, valid and reliable questionnaire assessments (BASC-3 and BRIEF) to gain objective data on behavioral and emotional adaptability, and behavioral observations and clinical interview to provide subjective supporting data. We take all available factors into consideration when determining a diagnosis, especially trauma history and family psychiatric history, as these can often "mask" as ADHD.
This service is self-pay only. The total fee includes all testing and interviews as well as a detailed report and follow up appointment with the parents. This in-depth follow up appointment for parents/guardians is to review how the diagnosis was determined and possible support structures or interventions for the family as they're walking through a potentially difficult time with their child. Ongoing therapy can be arranged for clinical support for ADHD symptoms, anxiety, or trauma, as needed.
These results will be accepted by prescribers and schools for 504 accommodations if a diagnosis is indicated.
